Comprehensive Breast Center Services

We offer a full range of breast diagnostic and therapeutic services.  These include: 

Breast examinations
Mammography
Ultrasound and Ultrasound guided biopsy
  Stereotactic (non-surgical) Breast Biopsy
  Breast Surgery
  Long-term Follow-up of Breast Disease

Other services include: nutrition counseling, psychologist support, and bone densitometry. 

Diagnosis Of Breast Disease
If your screening exam is abnormal you will undergo further imaging studies at the Breast Center.  This may include diagnostic mammography, which includes multiple views of the breast and possibly magnification views.  Also, ultrasound may be performed at the Center to further refine the imaging.
Avoid affricated products for one week prior to your appointment. 
Breast Physical Examination
Mammography alone fails to detect about 10% of breast abnormalities. Whenever an area of concern is demonstrated by a referring physician or patient self breast examination, we can provide a diagnostic breast physical examination.

Preparations For Mammography Or
Image-Guided Biopsy

  Avoid caffeinated products for one week prior to your appointment.  This can   
       decrease breast tenderness and  make your exam more comfortable. 

 
Schedule your mammogram for the week following your period, if you are 
       still menstruating, This is when  your breast are least tender. 

  On the day of your exam do not wear deodorant,  body or face powder.  
       These products can contain metallic elements that can be seen on the 
       mammogram and give  false readings.
